Our References &
Industry Experience

The SIG Group has been operating across a diverse spectrum of industry sectors, many times with direct project or program linkages across sectors. Below is a summary of the sectors in which SIG Group has been active.

Track Record

Sector Experience

01

Private Sector

SIG has been active in developing linkages between African export organizations and companies, and EU import opportunities. Conversely, the Group is assisting EU corporations in doing business on the African continent — facilitating trade, joint ventures, and market-entry strategies across multiple sectors.

02

Energy & Co-generation

In the world today energy production is as necessary in developing countries as are energy savings in developed countries. Co-generation designs are energy efficient and utilize by-products as a source of power generation, as well as converting municipal waste into energy. The company has completed over 100 projects in co-generation, utilizing agricultural waste products, and steam and electric generation plants.

03

Agriculture & Aquaculture

SIG is engaged in international agribusiness and aquaculture management, consulting, implementation and operations. It provides advisory services in any technical or administrative area, or assumes full responsibility for development and management. The Group retains membership in an EU cane sugar cooperative, with grinding rights in excess of 15,000 tons of cane per year. SIG has experience in the use of plant growth regulators, tissue cultures, and crop physiology management to increase plant productivity and accelerate the expansion of new varieties.

04

Infrastructure & Transport

As part of its experience in designing turn-key manufacturing facilities, SIG has expertise in designing road and railway transport systems, as well as barge dock facilities. On the environmental side, SIG was a pioneer in wastewater management and has performed numerous studies and designed projects resolving wastewater and pollution problems. The company has also formed an alliance with Global Wastewater Systems of Louisiana to complement an already high level of technical expertise pertaining to wastewater management.

05

Healthcare & Hospital

SIG has structured financing for multiple healthcare infrastructure programs across sub-Saharan Africa, including the construction of 10 modular regional hospital units in Ghana and 300 hospital units in Cameroon. These projects provide advanced medical unit construction and laboratory infrastructure to underserved populations. SIG also provided strategic advisory for the development of a high-capacity pharmaceutical cold-chain facility with a production capacity of 20 million vaccine units per year.

06

Automotive

SIG has experience in leveraging and networking within the automotive industry due to the provision of investment facilitation services to clients. As a result, the Group maintains a strategic alliance with International Finishing Resources (IFR), a Detroit-based firm, enabling access to specialized industrial finishing and manufacturing expertise for automotive and heavy industry projects.

07

International Finance

Financing is the key to any project. Whether selling commodities or building a railroad, the ability to obtain trade or project financing and insurance can determine the viability of a deal. Financing is SIG's specialty. The Group's experience and familiarity with commercial and multilateral banks, export-credit agencies, financing institutions, and insurance companies provides clients with the resources needed to get the job done. Institutional experience of senior staff members who previously served with institutions such as the Export Import Bank, the African Development Bank, and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation contributes to the depth of knowledge available.

08

Public Sector

The SIG Group has extensive experience working in the public sector, having executed projects for governments as well as advising governments on privatization and related issues. SIG provides comprehensive financial and strategic counsel to national ministries for economic reform, sovereign asset management, and the structuring of public-private partnerships that attract international capital.
